Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente estudio tiene como finalidad descubrir, identificar, comparar y socializar las diferentes estrategias de resiliencia que se presentan en gays y lesbianas de la ciudad de San Miguel. Para ello se expone una base teórica que permite conocer la evolución conceptual de la resiliencia, así también comprender los diferentes contextos y desafíos que afrontan las personas homosexuales. El tipo de investigación utilizada es cualitativa fenomenológica con alcance descriptivo mediante el abordaje de estudio de casos, implementando la estrategia de muestreo no probabilística intencionada; la recolección de información se hace mediante la entrevista a profundidad, observación directa y autorreporte. Para ello se tomó una muestra de dos participantes, es decir, un hombre gay y una mujer lesbiana, las estrategias de resiliencia se presentan en cada categoría: regulación emocional, confianza en sí mismo, actividades productivas, familia, amigos y la pareja. Este estudio nos permite elaborar una propuesta de intervención psicológica para fortalecer las estrategias de resiliencia en gays y lesbianas con el objetivo de ayudar a la comunidad gays, lesbianas y demás personas que quieran conocer e informarse acerca de la importancia que tiene el fortalecimiento de aquellas estrategias que les han permitido sobrellevar muchas situaciones. ABSTRACT: The present study aims to discover, identify, compare and socialize the different resilience strategies that are present in gays and lesbians in the city of San Miguel. For this, a theoretical basis is exposed that allows us to know the conceptual evolution of resilience, as well as to understand the different contexts and challenges that homosexual people face. The type of research used is qualitative phenomenological with descriptive scope through the case study approach, implementing the intentional non-probabilistic sampling strategy; the collection of information is done through in-depth interviews, direct observation and self-report. For this, a sample of two participants was taken, that is, a gay man and a lesbian woman, resilience strategies are presented in each category: emotional regulation, self-confidence, productive activities, family, friends and partner. This study allows us to develop a proposal for psychological intervention to strengthen resilience strategies in gays and lesbians with the aim of helping the gay community, lesbians and other people who want to know and learn about the importance of strengthening those strategies that have allowed them to cope with many situations.
