Abstract

RESUMEN: La situación de las Mujeres Privadas de Libertad, embarazadas o con hijos, podemos destacar que están poseen derechos que se han constituido en una de las prioridades en la actual gestión. No sólo por su mandato constitucional, sino por considerar que se ha vuelto una necesidad apremiante velar por el respeto y garantía de los derechos de este sector de la población, que viven con sus niñas y sus niños en los centros penales de El Salvador. En razón de ello, se ha considerado necesario que la población salvadoreña y sobre todo las autoridades penitenciarias, y demás entidades que tienen que velar por el respeto y garantía de los derechos de las niñas y los niños que viven con sus madres, contaran con un documento base que represente: la Situación de los derechos humanos de las mujeres privadas de libertad; las condiciones generales de las mujeres en los Centros Penales de El Salvador, las descripción de los centro penales para mujeres y la crisis del sistema penitenciario en El Salvador; así como la atención, y rehabilitación, en relación a este sector. ABSTRACT: The situation of Women Deprived of Liberty, pregnant or with children, we can highlight that they have rights that have become one of the priorities in the current administration. Not only because of its constitutional mandate, but also because it is considered that it has become an urgent need to ensure the respect and guarantee of the rights of this sector of the population, who live with their girls and boys in the prisons of El Salvador. For this reason, it has been considered necessary that the Salvadoran population and especially the penitentiary authorities, and other entities that have to ensure the respect and guarantee of the rights of girls and boys who live with their mothers, have a base document that represents: the situation of human rights of women deprived of liberty; the general conditions of women in the El Salvador Prisons, the description of the prisons for women and the crisis of the prison system in El Salvador; as well as the attention, and rehabilitation, in relation to this sector.
