Abstract
This research project presents an analysis regarding the reasons behind our research question which mainly discusses why the Graduation process students are unable to reach an advanced-mid level of English oral proficiency at the end of the major of Licenciatura en Inglés opción Enseñanza at the University of El Salvador. This project includes the three levels of English oral proficiency found among students, Intermediate-Low, Intermediate-High and Advanced-Low, who are currently carrying out the Graduation process at the Foreign Language Department at the University of El Salvador, providing the research team with the necessary information to draw conclusions on what factors interfere with students’ achievement of an Advanced-Mid level of English oral proficiency.
