Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo de investigación se basa en el estudio de la aplicación de la técnica cupping, como tratamiento en pacientes diagnosticados con cervicalgia, la cual es uno de los malestares físicos más comunes en nuestro país, ya sea por estrés o por la realización de movimientos bruscos de la zona cervical. La técnica cupping, que es la versión moderna de una técnica China difiere mucho de su antecesora ya que es mediante la creación de vacío, y no calor, que hace que los músculos se expandan. Teniendo esto en cuenta se decidió realizar un análisis del trabajo de investigación realizado por la Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Ecuador. OBJETIVOS: Analizar e interpretar la investigación realizada en la Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Ecuador, en 2015 sobre los beneficios de la aplicación de la técnica cupping como tratamiento en pacientes diagnosticados con cervicalgia. METODOLOGÍA: El equipo investigador se basa en el estudio de tipo exploratorio, ya que se llevó a cabo una investigación exhaustiva sobre la aplicación y beneficios de la técnica cupping, con el apoyo de diferentes materiales acerca de investigaciones ya existentes sobre el tema. También en el estudio de tipo analítico, ya que se realizó el análisis e interpretación de datos, gracias a los resultados obtenidos en la investigación realizada en la Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Ecuador. CONCLUSIÓN: El 86% de los pacientes con cervicalgia incluidos en el grupo experimental, después de aplicar la técnica cupping, obtuvieron cambios en su aspecto físico y psicológico favorables para su salud. La técnica de Cupping se va implementando como una terapia efectiva, eficaz y rápida para el tratamiento de la cervicalgia. ABSTRACT: This research work is based on the study of the application of the cupping technique, as a treatment in patients diagnosed with cervicalgia, which is one of the most common physical discomforts in our country, either due to stress or due to the of sudden movements of the cervical area. The cupping technique, which is the modern version of a Chinese technique, differs greatly from its predecessor in that it is by creating a vacuum, and not heat, that the muscles expand. Taking this into account, it was decided to carry out an analysis of the research work carried out by the Technical University of Ambato, Ecuador. OBJECTIVES: To analyze and interpret the research carried out at the Technical University of Ambato, Ecuador, in 2015 on the benefits of the application of the cupping technique as a treatment in patients diagnosed with cervicalgia. METHODOLOGY: The research team is based on an exploratory study, since an exhaustive investigation was carried out on the application and benefits of the cupping technique, with the support of different materials about existing research on the subject. Also in the analytical type study, since the analysis and interpretation of data was carried out, thanks to the results obtained in the research carried out at the Technical University of Ambato, Ecuador. CONCLUSION: 86% of the patients with cervicalgia included in the experimental group, after applying the cupping technique, obtained changes in their physical and psychological appearance favorable to their health. The Cupping technique is being implemented as an effective, efficient and fast therapy for the treatment of neck pain
