Abstract

RESUMEN: Este trabajo se realizó en el municipio de Villa San Antonio, departamento de San Miguel. Teniendo como propósito, analizar la percepción de los habitantes sobre el programa Ecos-Familiares de atención en salud en su modalidad básica y especializada, en la zona urbana y rural. Tomando en cuenta que el programa surge como un nuevo modelo de atención en salud a partir del 2010, pretendiendo mejorar el acceso a los servicios que tiene el municipio en el primer nivel de atención. Se exponen los testimonios y experiencias de los usuarios entrevistados/as, sus percepciones sobre el nuevo modelo de atención en salud, donde expresan sus vivencias en materia de atención en salud y el significado que le brindan a los años de hacer uso del programa Ecos-Familiares. Entre lo más sobresaliente de los resultados de lo investigado se encuentran los beneficios obtenidos en el descongestionamiento del establecimiento de salud de la zona urbana ya que con el Eco rural los usuarios de los caseríos ya no tienen que ir hasta el Eco de la zona urbana, con el surgimiento de este programa hay más promotores de salud que son los que visitan más de cerca a los habitantes, así también mencionar que no se han generado las condiciones adecuadas en la instalación del Eco rural y que hay mucha deficiencia para el traslado de los pacientes al hospital de referencia ya que solo se cuenta con un medio de transporte para los dos Ecos. ABSTRACT: This work was carried out in the municipality of Villa San Antonio, department of San Miguel. With the purpose of analyzing the perception of the inhabitants about the Ecos-Familiares program of health care in its basic and specialized modality, in urban and rural areas. Taking into account that the program emerges as a new model of health care as of 2010, seeking to improve access to services that municipalities have at the first level of care. The testimonies and experiences of the users interviewed are exposed, their perceptions about the new model of health care, where they express their experiences in health care and the meaning they give to the years of making use of the Ecos- program. Relatives Among the most outstanding of the results of the research are the benefits obtained in the decongestion of the health establishment of the urban area since with the rural Eco the users of the hamlets no longer have to go to the Eco of the urban area, With the emergence of this program there are more health promoters who visit the inhabitants more closely, as well as mention that the adequate conditions have not been generated in the installation of the Rural Eco and that there is a lot of deficiency for the transfer of the patients to the referral hospital since there is only one means of transport for the two Echoes
