Abstract

Las organizaciones de ayuda humanitarias han adquirido un creciente protagonismo en las últimas décadas. Si bien el panorama humanitario cambia con regularidad, un factor constante entre los actores que prestan ayuda humanitaria, y sobre todo entre las organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG), es el significado del concepto de actividades privadas, “sin fines de lucro”. Tras examinar la situación actual estratégica y financiera de Cruz Roja Salvadoreña, Seccional San Vicente, se realizó una investigación en la que se analizaron los resultados obtenidos por medio de encuestas a los dirigentes y colaboradores administrativos. Entre los resultados obtenidos más relevantes de la investigación se pueden mencionar, que la institución no cuenta con un plan estratégico financiero para lograr y mantener la sostenibilidad en el tiempo y dependen económicamente para gastos administrativos de oficinas centrales. Como resultado de la investigación realizada, se elaboró una propuesta de Plan estratégico con enfoque financiero para lograr la sostenibilidad de la institución, tomando en cuenta la información y valorando las necesidades reflejadas en el diagnóstico de la situación actual. Con el cual se espera brindar opciones a la institución en la obtención de ingresos y la adecuada administración de los costos de operación. En vista de lo anterior mencionado, nace la inquietud de dar respuesta a dicha problemática con la “Propuesta de plan estratégico con enfoque financiero para lograr la sostenibilidad de Cruz Roja Salvadoreña, Seccional San Vicente” Humanitarian aid organizations have acquired a growing role in recent decades. While the humanitarian landscape changes regularly, a consistent factor among actors providing humanitarian aid, and especially among non-governmental organizations (NGOs), is the meaning of the concept of private, “non-profit” activities. After examining the current strategic and financial situation of the Salvadoran Red Cross, San Vicente Section, an investigation was carried out in which the results obtained through surveys of administrative leaders and collaborators were analyzed. Among the most relevant results obtained from the research, it can be mentioned that the institution does not have a strategic financial plan to achieve and maintain sustainability over time and they depend economically on central office administrative expenses. As a result of the research carried out, a proposal for a Strategic Plan with a financial approach was developed to achieve the sustainability of the institution, taking into account the information and assessing the needs reflected in the diagnosis of the current situation. With which it is expected to provide options to the institution in obtaining income and proper management of operating costs. In view of the aforementioned, the concern arises to respond to said problem with the "Proposal for a strategic plan with a financial approach to achieve the sustainability of the Salvadoran Red Cross, San Vicente Section"
