Abstract

RESUMEN: La cervicalgia es una patología que afecta la columna cervical, se caracteriza por la presencia de dolor leve, moderado o severo dependiendo del tiempo de su evolución el cual puede llegar a ser incapacitante disminuyendo así la fuerza muscular y limitando los rangos de movimientos. Se estima que el dolor cervical, en general, es un trastorno que afecta a toda la población sin importar el sexo o edad en algún momento de su vida. La sobrecarga, los esfuerzos, la fatiga y malas posturas desencadenan contracturas de los músculos cervicales originando así la cervicalgia. El tratamiento de fisioterapia consistió en la aplicación de Reeducación Postural Global que reside en una serie de posturas en descarga mantenidas, aplicándose a diez pacientes, dos sesiones por semana, cumpliendo un total de diez sesiones de tratamiento, quienes asistían a la clínica de fisioterapia de la universidad de El salvador, Facultad multidisciplinaria Oriental, obteniendo así resultados favorables notando así una disminución de los signos y síntomas. Se realizó esta investigación con el objetivo de demostrar la efectividad de la Reducción Postural Global, bajo la hipótesis de que esta seria eficaz en pacientes con cervicalgia, la cual fue aceptada. El tipo de investigación que se utilizo fue de campo por lo cual se concluye, que el tratamiento de Reeducación Postural Global es efectiva. ABSTRACT: Cervicalgia is a pathology that affects the cervical spine, it is characterized by the presence of mild, moderate or severe pain depending on the time of its evolution, which can become disabling, thus decreasing muscle strength and limiting range of motion. It is estimated that cervical pain, in general, is a disorder that affects the entire population regardless of gender or age at some point in their lives. Overload, efforts, fatigue and poor posture trigger contractures of the cervical muscles, thus causing neck pain. The physiotherapy treatment consisted in the application of Global Postural Reeducation that resides in a series of maintained postures in unloading, applying to ten patients, two sessions per week, fulfilling a total of ten treatment sessions, who attended the physiotherapy clinic of the University of El Salvador, Oriental Multidisciplinary Faculty, thus obtaining favorable results, thus noting a decrease in signs and symptoms. This research was carried out with the objective of demonstrating the effectiveness of Global Postural Reduction, under the hypothesis that it would be effective in patients with neck pain, which was accepted. The type of research that was used was field, for which it is concluded that the treatment of Global Postural Reeducation is effective
