Abstract

This document will show the basis of the translation process, as well the translation tools that can be used by professional translators, emphasizing the steps and techniques that should be follow in order to successfully complete the translation process. Translation techniques, the translation procedure, tools for translation, automatic translators, dictionaries and editing skills are some of the basic pieces of which the translation process is composed. Due to the importance of translation in the studies of languages, manufacturing processes, and advertisements, researchers and translator have developed the most accurate translation techniques, processes, and tools that help people to simplify the translation process. The translation process may seem like a simple and quick activity that can be performed by anyone; However, the more someone delves deeper into the field of translation, the more that person will find out that the translation process is one of the most dedicad activities to perform. That’s why a good translator should learn how to use the most adequate techniques and tools, underlining the importance of using appropriate translation procedures to avoid change the meaning or idea when translating a document. The translation process could be resumed in how someone could translate and contain the same meaning of a text from one culture to another without losing any fundamental idea. Because of this, the way in which a tool or a translation technic is used, will be crucial in the final translated document.
