Abstract

RESUMEN: Los recursos naturales han sido una fuente vital para el desarrollo y subsistencia de la humanidad, es por eso que siempre han sido objeto de explotación; sin embargo, las medidas de protección y conservación surgieron entre los años 50 y 60 cuando las sociedades con alto nivel económico tomaron conciencia de las problemáticas del medio ambiente y comenzaron a adoptar medidas preventivas para la protección del medio. La primera legislación mundialmente importante que trata la evaluación ambiental en general es la National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) o ley nacional de protección del medio ambiente del año 1969 de los Estados unidos de Norteamérica. ABSTRACT: Natural resources have been a vital source for the development and subsistence of humanity, that is why they have always been exploited; however, protection and conservation measures emerged between the 1950s and 1960s when societies with a high economic level became aware of environmental problems and began to adopt preventive measures to protect the environment. The first globally important legislation that deals with environmental assessment in general is the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) or national environmental protection law of the year 1969 of the United States of America
