Abstract

La lactancia materna es una alimentación fundamental desde que el recién nacido tiene contacto con su madre, debido a que la leche materna aporta y tiene componentes que generan inmunidad que ayudan al desarrollo y maduración de los sistemas en el bebé porque previene futuras comorbilidades. El objetivo de esta revisión es analizar la importancia sobre la lactancia materna en menores de 1 año. Se llevó a cabo una búsqueda bibliográfica en Revista Alerta, Google Académico, biblioteca virtual en salud BVS, campus virtual de salud pública, incluyendo solamente artículos y publicaciones de texto completo en idioma español del año 2019 al 2023. La alimentación materna se debe promover como una fuente exclusiva y su importancia en la nutrición desde el nacimiento hasta el año de vida ya que aporta múltiples beneficios que se describirán más adelante tanto para el bebe y su madre y favorece a la sociedad a disminuir el impacto de las tasas de morbilidad infantil. La OMS hace énfasis en crear estrategias para implementar el amamantamiento y aumentar las tasas que en los últimos años se han considerado bajas para que los lactantes tengan un buen desarrollo en su estado de salud y crecimiento y que se tenga una prevalencia satisfactoria Abstract Breastfeeding is a fundamental diet from the moment the newborn has contact with its mother, because breast milk provides and has components that generate immunity that help the development and maturation of the systems in the baby because it prevents future comorbidities. The aim of this review is to analyse the importance of breastfeeding in children under 1 year of age. A bibliographic search was carried out in Alert Journal, Google Scholar, VHL virtual health library, virtual public health campus, including only articles and full-text publications in Spanish from 2019 to 2023. Maternal feeding should be promoted as an exclusive source and its importance in nutrition from birth to one year of life since it provides multiple benefits that will be described later for both the baby and its mother and favors society to reduce the impact of infant morbidity rates.
